Small businesses are anchor institutions of neighborhoods and that local economies thrive as investments into neighborhood businesses increase and those businesses grow. This strategy counters the model of attracting large-scale businesses as the only local economy generator.

BLDG Memphis is excited for our 2-year partnership sponsored by Truist with The Coalition DC to further improve and strengthen the local environment for small businesses and entrepreneurs throughout Memphis. During the project, CNHED will work with BLDG Memphis to actively convene and collaborate with the small business ecosystem to better serve small businesses in Memphis, specifically those that are minority-owned or in under-resourced neighborhoods. BLDG Memphis will provide a one-stop hub for small businesses and entrepreneurs, connecting you with valuable resources, support organizations, lenders, and events in Memphis.
