For Pizza with Planners this month we have teamed up with Neighborhood Preservation, Inc. and Innovate Memphis to bring Dr. Mindy Fullilove and Molly Kaufman to speak to us.
Dr Fullilove is professor of urban policy and health in the Milano School of International Affairs at The New School. Her research focuses on sources and consequences of inequality, with a focus on the American city, and has recently published Root Shock: How Tearing Up City Neighborhoods Hurts America and What We Can Do About It.
Molly Kaufman is a community planner, journalist and youth worker who cofounded the University of Orange, a free people’s university. She also worked with residents and planners to write the Heart of Orange plan and codeveloped ORNG Ink, a youth-led, user driven arts collective.
