The Memphis region is ranked the third most dangerous city in the United States for pedestrians, and the burden is shared disproportionately by communities of color. To raise awareness around this issue, BLDG Memphis will host a series of events that highlight the increased traffic violence within neighborhoods. The series features various types of events including a community development book club, community mapping and planning activities, and training around traffic safety laws and policies.
