Memphis 3.0, the city's first comprehensive plan conducted in nearly 40 years, is turning five years old and is time for an update. Over the next year the city of Memphis will hold district workshops analyzing Memphis 3.0s priorities, future land use ideas, and the zoning rules that will impact the future of Memphis Communities.!
BLDG Memphis is looking for Community Organizations who are willing to be partners in engaging community members to attend these district meetings.
We are asking our Community Partners to:
Attend the Facilitator Training session for your district
Distribute flyers, through canvassing
Share social media posts add events to newsletters
Commit to Recruiting Community members to attend workshop meetings
Attend the three planning meetings for your district
Email thank you notes to those who attended and asking them to attend meetings 2 and 3 and bring friends.
BLDG Memphis will review your application and selection will be based on:
Collaborative Project Experience
Quality of Work
Ability to communicate across different groups of people and communities
Ability to commit
Interest in Memphis 3.0 and civic engagement
There is a possibility of a small stipend for your participation.
