2021 Policy Priorities
Access to safe, quality, and affordable housing is crucial to building thriving neighborhoods. The Affordable Housing Work Group members are non-profit community developers, community lenders, planners, housing policy experts and neighborhood voices who collectively advocate for the housing needs of the Memphis community. This year their work focuses on:
- Increasing resources to develop affordable units & rehab/repair existing properties.
- Improving counseling and policy protections for renters & homeowners.
BLDG Memphis launched 2021 MAHTF Campaign which advocates for the City to permanently fund the Memphis Affordable Housing Trust Fund.
